Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Stony Littleton, Southview Farmhouse has breathtaking views in all directions. It is a superb base for walking, cycling or horse-riding to the nearby villages of Wellow and Shoscombe (with their excellent pubs) or the ancient monument of the Stony Littleton Longbarrow. Alternatively take the car to the nearby country towns of Bradford on Avon, Frome and Glastonbury or the magnificent historic cities of Bath and Wells, none of which are more than 30 minutes drive away.
The original Victorian farmhouse has been totally modernised and refurbished in 2006. The views from every room are gorgeous. The private drive has plenty of safe parking. The entrance hall has a coffee table area to enjoy that first cup of tea looking across the garden to a view of several miles. The kitchen has stone tiles, beech cupboards, range cooker, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The utility room has a washer/dryer and downstairs cloakroom/WC. The spacious dining room also has a large bay window area with comfy chairs to sit and read through the dozens of local leaflets of places to visit. The sitting room has comfortable settees, TV, video, and dvd, rocking chair, a bookcase of varied reading and videos and a writing desk in the window.
Upstairs are three bedrooms all equipped with duvets and high quality linen, and a bathroom with shower. The master bedroom has a 4 poster double bed and is furnished in New England style. The large fitted cupboard is full of towels, beach towels, spare pillows, hairdryer etc.. The second bedroom has two Victorian style single beds, with pine wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom is smaller and has an adult size pine mid-height bunk bed with another underneath.
Outside is over ¼ acre of peaceful country garden that is tended weekly, and a games room. There can be nowhere more peaceful on a summer’s evening; but in the winter evenings you are just 15 minutes from the centre of Bath with its extraordinary range of restaurants, cinema complex, Theatre Royal, and endless walks around the Crescents, Circus and boulevards.
